Message	frame is a part of the your protection in an accident. Having those welds come apart a the wrong time might not be a good thing in terms of add'l human body damage. I'd consider finding a part-out and swap out for seats w/out the repair... Who knows - that fix might be OK but worth taking a chance? My 2 cents....
